This is the overall conclusion of the Auditor General’s report on Financial Management and Governance in Local Councils This is the sixth annual report published by the Auditor General for Wales which looks at the financial management and governance of over 730 town and community councils across Wales.
Preferred candidate for Auditor General announced Read more about Preferred candidate for Auditor General announced We welcome the announcement that Adrian Crompton has been chosen as the preferred candidate to become the new Auditor General for Wales. The appointment is still subject to formal nomination by the Assembly’s Finance Committee, Assembly Members and final approval by Her Majesty the Queen. Adrian will replace the current Auditor General, Huw Vaughan Thomas when he retires in July 2018. Adrian Crompton currently works as Director of Assembly Business and the National Assembly for Wales.
