Our report also highlights important recommendations from recent reviews and is part on our ongoing work looking at how public bodies are responding to the challenges of climate change.

    Flooding can have a devasting impact on individuals, the economy and the environment and despite continued investment, continues to be a big risk to the country. Climate change, rising sea levels and larger amounts of rainfall are increasing the chances of flooding occurring.

    Our report highlights several key challenges facing the flooding sector, with workforce capacity being the most pressing one.
