  • That Act requires me to:

    • examine and certify the accounts submitted to me by the Health Board, and to lay them before the Senedd;
    • satisfy myself that expenditure and income have been applied to the purposes intended and are in accordance with authorities; and
    • satisfy myself that the Health Board has made proper arrangements for securing economy, efficiency and effectiveness in its use of resources.

    I concluded that the Health Board’s accounts were properly prepared and materially accurate, and my work did not identify any material weaknesses in the Health Board’s internal controls (as relevant to my audit).

    I have therefore issued an unqualified opinion on their preparation.
