Second annual report highlights positive steps towards a more fair environment for staff and stakeholders
While the first Wales Audit Office progress report concentrated on establishing equality objectives and setting up arrangements for collecting relevant information, this report focuses on how we have made a start in driving our equality work into our working policies and practices. This year has seen many developments for the Wales Audit Office. We have developed a set of instructions to help staff to address equality when carrying out their audit and related work. We have appointed equality and diversity Allies and Champions who have a role in embedding equality into the Wales Audit Office's organisational culture, and we have hosted a number of "Lunch and Learn" sessions where staff have been invited to attend talks given by key speakers who represent organisations that support persons with protected characteristics.
