Description

About the role

Are you looking for an alternative to university but with the same long-term prospects? Or are you working in finance and looking for a professional development route. If you are interested in earning and learning through a higher apprenticeship route, then the Finance Apprenticeship Programme may be what you are looking for. We currently have vacancies in our South and West Wales teams.

Audit Wales are delighted to offer a 2–3-year fixed term programme aimed at individuals who want to pursue a career in finance. You will work with Audit Wales while completing professional training with the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT). We are looking for candidates who are passionate about the public sector; have the ability to follow process, be happy to work as part of a team and but also have strong discipline and motivation to operate within a hybrid working environment.  A good sense of initiative and good excellent communication skills are also key. You must possess or be likely to achieve three A levels at C or above.

You’ll play a part in the audit of over 800 public bodies across Wales, ensuring the work you do makes a real difference to the citizens of Wales. Our clients include Welsh Government, NHS Wales, local government and many more!

Many in our team are young and passionate about making a difference and are currently working towards professional accountancy qualifications. We are keen to support and coach you through our apprenticeship programme which provides a possible pathway to our graduate scheme.

We are a proud Working Families employer and have Living Wage accreditation, our generous annual leave allowance, family friendly and flexible working policies are just some of the reasons why we’re a great place to work.

We’re also advocates for personal and professional development, which is why we offer an abundance of learning and development opportunities, as well as providing all staff with LinkedIn Learning licenses.

We are growing a diverse workforce that is representative of the communities we work within and the skills, experiences and perspectives they will offer and welcome applications from people from all backgrounds.
