Town and community councils

  • Person working on accounts
  • What we're doing

We are preparing a summary report on matters arising from our work auditing the annual accounts of the 700+ town and community councils in Wales.

    Why we're doing it

It is important that councils understand where their governance arrangements may need to improve.

Our report will highlight the issues we commonly identify across the sector and summarise key lessons for councils to learn from our statutory reporting.

    When we'll report

    Winter 2024-25
