We plan to issue a short summary of findings from work at NHS bodies which has examined the approach to identifying, delivering and overseeing cost savings plans.
The NHS is facing unprecedented financial challenges and NHS bodies’ ability to meet their short and medium term financial targets relies heavily on having a sound approach to identifying and delivering financial savings. Our commentary will describe the extent to which NHS bodies’ savings plans are contributing to good financial control and longer term financial sustainability.
