Audit Wales is looking to recruit permanent and fixed term vacancies at Senior Auditors to join our Audit Services team with vacancies available across Wales.
Are you currently working within a finance team but looking for a new challenge or working within audit but would like the challenge of a new sector?
Yes? then our Senior Auditor role may be what you are looking for. You will be a qualified CCAB accountant with experience either in audit or within an accounting setting. Experience of the public sector is desirable but not essential, but you will be a committed team player, keen to improve the outcomes of the citizens of Wales.
We are looking for highly motivated people to be part of our energetic and resilient teams. You will be confident in maintaining ownership of your own work and will bring your accounting audit experience through your CCAB accreditation.

Audit Wales is the independent public sector audit body within Wales. We hold a unique position within the Welsh public sector, where our role is to:

What it’s like to work in Audit Services
As a Senior Auditor, you will work within Audit Services who are responsible for delivering both financial audit and performance audit work. The roles available support the delivery of the financial audits of public sector clients. Our teams are split geographically across Wales; North, West and South and individuals will be allocated a region. Successful candidates will have a portfolio of clients from across the public sector, comprising of central government, local government, and NHS. While experience in these sectors would be an advantage, it is not essential, and full training and support will be provided.
Senior Auditors are responsible for supporting our Audit Leads on larger more complex audits and have primary responsible for the delivery of smaller clients. You would also support the supervision of junior staff.
While we operate a hybrid working model, to support the successful delivery of our work and support for colleagues, Senior Auditors are expected to be on site with their teams for at least two days per week.
