Timber Sales Contracts - Supplementary Memorandum of the Auditor General for Wales to the Public Accounts Committee

12 Mar 2017 - 12:45pm

Following its establishment, National Resources Wales (NRW) inherited the challenge of having to take urgent action to manage and control P Ramorum in larch trees.

During the summer months of 2013, NRW identified that there was a rapid increase in the spread of P Ramorum and had to find a long-term solution to combating the disease.

NRW intends to meet this challenge primarily by increasing capacity for dealing with diseased larch and avoid disruption to existing trade in other types of timber.
