The objective of this review was to assess the Council’s progress against the ten recommendations made in our Audit Wales Review of the Planning Service 2021 report.
The Council has taken swift action to begin responding to the original recommendations in our 2021 Review of the Planning Service report.
However, the Council now needs to further refine its Development Management Committee procedures and governance arrangements so that they are fully understood, applied and embedded in a way that is transparent and provides value for money for the Council as a whole.
