Who's Who?

Huw Vaughan Thomas
Auditor General for Wales

I see the Wales Audit Office as the engine room of the Welsh public service, driving forward quality, efficiency and effectiveness, as well as ensuring compliance and regularity.

Management Committee

Our Management Committee are responsible for directing the organisation - both by transforming and running the business.

We also have a number of directors who are responsible for managing the many projects we deliver each year.

Board Members

The National Assembly for Wales appoints a Chair and 3 other non-executive members to our statutory Board. The other members are the Auditor General and 3 employees.

The Board is responsible for employing staff, procuring services, and providing other resources to enable the Auditor General to do his work. It also monitors and advises the Auditor General.
